A bit more about me...

Why I Love Mixed Media
Mixed media gives me the freedom to experiment and break boundaries. I enjoy combining materials—paint, paper, digital textures—to create layered, expressive pieces that tell richer stories than any single medium could.
It’s a personal process, too. I often include fragments from my life: photos, notes, textures from places I’ve been. Each piece becomes a collage of memory and emotion, reflecting how I see the world—complex, messy, and beautifully unpredictable.
Media
What I Use
Mixed media art combines different materials to create layered, textured pieces. Common supplies include paint, ink, and charcoal for the base; paper elements like photos, book pages, or newspaper for collage; and fabric, thread, or yarn for texture. Artists might also use found objects like buttons or metal, and even digital prints or tech components. Each material adds its own character, helping tell a richer, more dynamic story.
Focus
My Direction
I want to explore unusual materials that add texture and surprise. Circuit boards, rusted metal, and old maps offer visual intrigue and a sense of history. I’m also drawn to translucent layers like acetate or resin-coated fabric, and everyday items like keys or receipts that carry personal meaning. These elements help me tell deeper, more unexpected stories through my art.

Through My Eyes
I am a Mixed Media artist, and I enjoy exploring a diverse range of mediums to produce artwork that is not only unique but also striking and unconventional. My journey has led me to become an active member of the Peterborough Open Studios, where I engage with fellow artists and the community. Additionally, I have the opportunity to exhibit my work in several local galleries, further sharing my artistic vision with a wider audience.
